This add-on extends the wpDiscuz comment attachment system rather than operating as a general-purpose front-end uploader. It requires wpDiscuz 7.5 or newer, and configuration is handled from the wpDiscuz settings area after the add-on is installed and activated. The product is a practical fit for community, review, support, and discussion sites where attachments add context to comments. Site owners should test permitted MIME types, upload limits, guest access, role rules, caching, moderation workflows, and media storage on staging before enabling public uploads.
Supports photo, video, audio, and other configured file types in wpDiscuz comments.
Offers single-file and multiple-file upload modes.
Provides AJAX-based uploading and validation.
Includes controls for file count, file size, and permitted file types.
Can preview attached images and allow users to set attachment order before submission.
Displays image attachments through a lightbox and supports HTML5 video and audio players.
Allows comment attachments to be deleted while the applicable comment-editing time limit remains active.
Provides separate controls for enabling or disabling media-upload buttons.
Compatibility and setup context
- Requires the wpDiscuz plugin; the developer specifies wpDiscuz version 7.5 or newer.
- Installation is performed as a WordPress plugin, followed by activation from the WordPress Plugins screen.
- Configuration is available under the wpDiscuz settings area in the Addons > Media Uploader section.
- The attachment button is shown only where the wpDiscuz comment form is enabled and the relevant post type is allowed for media uploading.
- The add-on is designed for the comment form and should not be assumed to support wpDiscuz inline commenting without staging verification.
- The supplied catalog version data is inconsistent with the developer page: the developer page lists changelog entries through Media Uploader 7.3.0, while 7.1.7 appears as an earlier changelog entry. Verify the downloadab
